🚚 Goods receipt: checking deliveries at the door
Temperature and condition at delivery is your first line of defence. What to check and record.
This is general guidance. Food-safety rules can change — always verify the current requirements with your national food-safety authority ↗. The operator remains responsible for compliance; we accept no liability for this information.
The cold chain can break before food even reaches you. Checking deliveries at the door is a distinct control point — not the same as fridge storage — and it’s where you catch problems you can still refuse.
At delivery, check
- Temperature of chilled and frozen goods on arrival
- Packaging intact, nothing damaged or leaking
- Dates and condition of the product
- That it matches what you ordered
If something arrives too warm or damaged, record it and reject it — a documented rejection is a strong defence and stops the problem entering your kitchen.
MiniAgent’s goods-receipt check is marked "at delivery" (🚚) so it doesn’t get mistaken for a fridge reading, and it captures the delivery temperature as a numeric log.
Part of traceability and temperature control under EU 852/2004.
