Using the app

✍️ How does a staff member sign a check?

Tap the check, enter a value if needed, type your PIN. That’s the sign-off — and it works for any role, not just the kitchen.

This is general guidance. Food-safety rules can change — always verify the current requirements with your national food-safety authority ↗. The operator remains responsible for compliance; we accept no liability for this information.

On the "kiosk" Today screen, whoever is on shift taps a due check — a cook, a server, a manager, anyone with a role at the venue. For a temperature check they enter the reading first; then they enter their personal 3–4 digit PIN to sign. The sign-off is stored with their name, the value and the time.

Who a task belongs to

A check can be scoped a few ways, so the right person signs it:

If a reading is out of range, the app asks the person to describe the corrective action before it accepts the sign-off — so nothing slips through undocumented.

PINs are per person and per venue. They’re for signing, not for logging into an account — the tablet is already paired to the venue.
